Ready to take your first steps?

Stars Pre-School Eyrescroft

Located at the heart of the local community, Stars Pre-school Eyrescroft benefits from its unique setting within the grounds of Eyrescroft Primary School in North Bretton. We provide high-quality care and education for children from 9 months old, supporting them through their early years and into pre-school age. This close connection with the primary school supports a strong sense of continuity for children and families and helps prepare our pre-school children for a confident transition into school life.

Our carefully planned curriculum is designed to inspire curiosity, independence, and a love of learning from the very start. Through a balance of child-led play and purposeful adult-guided experiences, children of all ages are encouraged to explore, discover, and develop at their own pace.

We place a strong emphasis on building secure relationships, recognising that children learn best when they feel safe, valued, and understood. Our experienced and caring team takes the time to get to know each child as an individual, working closely with families to support learning and development both within the setting and at home.

Meet Our Manager

Sue

”My name is Sue and I am proud to be the manager at Stars Preschool Eyrescroft. Like many people, my Early Years career began when my own children were at preschool, from becoming a parent helper to working in the preschool a few hours a week. I began at this preschool in September 2000 and have given all my years to this setting. I have a strong belief that all the children that I meet are able to achieve and be anything they want to be. My role in helping them and their families is the most rewarding feeling. I aim to be always kind, approachable and continue to learn every day and to value education, whatever that looks like for each child. I look forward to meeting parents, children and their wider family as we begin their preschool journey together.”

Aspirational Curriculum

With years of experience, we are passionate about improving children’s learning within the diverse community within which we operate. That’s why we operate using our unique ASPIRE curriculum to ensure high standards are met following Early years foundation stage statutory framework  (DFE 2025)  focuses on the core concepts of: Learn, Achieve, Protect, Develop and be Ready. By following these 5 main strands, we strive for our children to prepare for their next stage in life as confident, positive and curious individuals.

Each child will be given a key person who will closely work with your child on all aspects of their development. We firmly believe parents/carers should have a voice, therefore communication and feedback are a strong focus at Stars Pre-School Eyrescroft.

Want to find out more? We’ve created a handy information booklet about our aspirational curriculum and ethos, which you can view here.
